Valentino's Super Rare Levi's Collaboration is Finally Here
Only 517 editions of new and archival Levi's 517 jeans will be available via Valentino as part of the Italian fashion house's Spring/Summer 2021 collection.
In his Spring/Summer 2021 Valentino collection, which debuted last fall, Pierpaolo Piccioli reframed Levi’s classic 517 bootcut jeans. The denim style was born in 1969, a time of ultimate self expression, and soon became an iconic piece of American fashion.
Levi’s, of course, is a brand built on values, and Valentino’s collection embodied the importance of equality, sharing the revitalization of a timeless and inclusive aesthetic experience that becomes more significant than ever. Resignification is a conceptual operation that Piccioli has been reflecting on during his tenure at the Italian fashion house. It consists of giving new value to symbols, ideas, places, and atmospheres that come from different moments in time, but are still relevant for today.
Available now, the Valentino x Levi's features vintage and re-edition versions of the jeans with a special new tag to commemorate the fashion collaboration and is limited to a select 517 styles around the world.
