Raf Simons will be extending his collaborations with the foundation through 2020.

Solidifying his foothold in American fashion, Raf Simons has announced plans to continue his collaborations with the Andy Warhol Foundation in his work at Calvin Klein. For those unfamiliar, Simons&#39;s new era at the beloved brand has been all anyone can talk about since it began earlier this year. The partnership will involve unseen Warhol works, and will extend all the way through 2020 (a visionary designer is always thinking&nbsp;ahead, after all).

Previously, Simons has used Warhol&#39;s darker works in his campaigns and collections, with prints like &quot;The Ambulance Disaster&quot; and &quot;The Electric Chair&quot; appearing on his clothes and accessories. If those works evoke the macabre, they should; Simons is fascinated with America&#39;s shadows as much as he is anything else &mdash; as is much of the world right now, with so many of them coming to light. In fact, it would be strange to imagine any artist conjuring jubilent depictions of the country anytime soon.

Simons <a href="http://wwd.com/fashion-news/designer-luxury/calvin-klein-multiyear-collaboration-the-andy-warhol-foundation-11057155/">told</a> WWD, &ldquo;He captured all sides of the American experience, including sometimes its darker sides. Warhol&rsquo;s art tells more truths about his country than you can find almost anywhere else.&rdquo;&nbsp;

As for the Warholian works themselves, we&#39;ll have to stay tuned until New York Fashion Week rears its head this February.
