The Ultimate Art Piece for a '90s Kate Moss Enthusiast
A photo of Kate Moss taken by Bruce Weber, Steven Meisel, or David Sims? For fans of the '90s, Calvin Klein, and Moss, this is the opportunity of a lifetime.
Klein, the designer, has announced the launch of his first book, Calvin Klein, which includes the work of these fashion greats and whose images were printed for the first time as stand alone art pieces. To celebrate the launch, Klein has teamed up with the auction house Phillips to sell the three iconic photos: CK One, New York City, 1994 , by Steven Meisel, for the Calvin Klein fragrance; Kate, 1993, by David Sims, for the Calvin Klein underwear collection; and Carré Otis, San Francisco, CA, 1991 by Bruce Weber, for Calvin Klein Jeans.
The auction will have 97 lots including separate works by Irving Penn, William Eggleston, and Helena Almeida. There will be Latin Americans photographers, too: Fernell Franco, Adriana Lestido and Paz Errázuriz; as well as Mexicans Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Graciela Iturbide and Pablo López Luz.
Auction Thursday November 2, 2017, 2 pm (London time).
