The Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil seems to have taken the internet by storm. All over TikTok, you'll find reviews and swatches from people obsessed with its moisturizing shine. The product claims to be non-sticky and non-greasy, forming a smooth film that shapes the lips. If you've been hearing the buzz about this product for a while like we have, you might be wondering if it's worth the $40 price tag.

In recent years, lip oils have become increasingly trendy. Popular brands like Fenty, Summer Fridays, Rare Beauty, and NYX all make their own formulas. Yet the Dior lip oil has surpassed them all as the internet's favorite. Is it really that special? Here, our beauty editors cover its ingredients, shade range, and where to buy.

Ingredients and Benefits

Oils are a popular ingredient in many types of cosmetics, from moisturizers to cream blushes. In a lip product, they add virtually weightless hydration along with shine. According to Dior, their line of lip oils has been developed to soften and protect. Designed to combine the moisture of a balm with the mirror shine of a gloss, its main ingredient is cherry oil.

In cosmetics manufacturing, this lightweight oil is often used for its nourishing qualities. Cherry oil is rich in essential fatty acids like linoleic acid and oleic acid. These powerhouse ingredients help reduce inflammation, promote collagen production, and strengthen the skin barrier. It also contains vitamin E, an antioxidant that protects the skin from radical damage. Dior's website claims that after just five days of use, lips become more beautiful even without using oil.

Colors

The Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil comes in eight shades that range from clear to soft pink, deep berry, and lively coral. The shade range includes:

  • Universal Clear
  • 001 Pink
  • 004 Coral
  • 006 Berry
  •  007 Raspberry
  • 012 Rosewood
  • 015 Cherry
  • 020 Mahogany

But, the most interesting aspect of this shade range is that it's been formulated with Dior's Color Reviver technology. According to the brand, this means that each glow oil will react to the unique level of moisture present on a person's lips and transform into a custom color. Reviewers have found these shades to be sheer, somewhat buildable, and universally flattering. They also work great with lipstick, either layered underneath as a primer or on top as a gloss
