A Chat with Celebrity Makeup Artist Hung Vanngo
They say if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But there are always exceptions. Marc Jacobs Beauty has one-upped itself with new and improved eyeshadows in six luxurious palettes.
Inspired by fashion, Marc Jacobs created the Eye-conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palettes ($69), each containing four different textures: buttery matte, velvet, shimmering satin, sparkling silk, and metallic lamé. Each palette features a covetable mix of seven shades with a velvety rich pigment. And in keeping with Marc’s vibe, all their names are beyond cool: think Provocouture (plum and magenta shades), Scandalust (rust and warmed browns with scarlet tones), Glambition (bronze shades), Edgitorial (reflective gold shades), Frivoluxe (chilled greige and violet hues), and Smartorial (celestial cobalt and icy teal with prismatic greys).
One who is no stranger to high-octane beauty looks is the brand’s Global Artistry Ambassador, Hung Vanngo. The maestro is easily one of the hottest, most in-demand makeup artists of late – his star-studded client list includes Selena Gomez, Giselle Bündchen, Karlie Kloss, Emily Ratajowski, and naturally, the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty, Kaia Gerber.
In town recently for the global launch of the Eye-conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palettes, Hung shared tips on how to nail his signature 'no-makeup' makeup look.
