Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2021 Haute Couture show at the Grand Palais is a high fashion family reunion.

Today, Creative Director&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/virginie-viard-chanel-2019" target="_blank">Virginie Viard</a>&nbsp;unveils Chanel&#39;s&nbsp;awe-inspiring Spring/Summer 2021 <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/chanel-fall-winter-2020-21-haute-couture" target="_blank">Haute Couture</a> collection. The show, which debuts as a beautiful video directed by Dutch filmmaker and graphic designer Anton Corbijn, embodies the warmth of a traditional family gathering. Chanel is&nbsp;home at the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/chanel-last-show-grand-palais-renovation" target="_blank">Grand Palais</a>, after all, one last time before its renovation this year.&nbsp;Models descend&nbsp;the stairs of the legendary venue in exquisite formation and enter&nbsp;what seems to be a feminine wonderland of florals, string lights, and wedding-like decor.

Viard attempts&nbsp;to capture the familial spirit&nbsp;of Chanel with this collection. Her focus on oversized petticoats, ruffled boleros, and fitted&nbsp;vests aim to give the clothes a liberating feeling, as&nbsp;the pieces are perfect for dancing on a warm summer evening. As always, Chanel sets the standard for artistic detailing and perfection with detailed textures,&nbsp;embroidered macram&eacute;, and intricate tweeds.&nbsp;

In addition to directing the show film,&nbsp;Corbijn produced&nbsp;a series of &quot;family&quot;&nbsp;photographs&nbsp;in the ateliers of the Maison located at 31 Rue Cambon in Paris. The Chanel models were joined by celebrity friends of the house <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/lily-rose-depp-chanel-cruise-2021-interview" target="_blank">Lily-Rose Depp</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/young-vanessa-paradis-french-singer-johnny-depp-lily-rose" target="_blank">Vanessa Paradis</a>, and Pen&eacute;lope Cruz&nbsp;in this endearing homage to vintage portraits.
