Scoring a presentation one day ahead of NYFW 2018 madness, the LA-based brand paid homage to its home city's easy Southern Californian free spirit.

&quot;We always ask ourselves: &#39;Is it wearable? Where would [the L&#39;Agence woman]&nbsp;be wearing this to? Will she feel confident?&#39;&quot; explains CEO and Creative Director,&nbsp;Jeff Rudes,&nbsp;at the backstage of the brand&#39;s first-ever runway show.

Each piece of L&rsquo;Agence Spring 2019 has been carefully and beautifully designed for the modern woman. Thanks to effortlessly chic silhouettes and soft colors, these must-have staples have been reinvigorated and elevated so as to allow the wearer to rock these looks in almost any occasion during the day. The collection&nbsp;also draws heavily from the 1970&rsquo;s by bringing back the puff sleeve and perfectly tailored 40-inch bell-bottom jeans.&nbsp;Though L&#39;Agence&#39;s clothes&nbsp;may seem more subdued compared to what one normally sees on Fashion Week runways, this is precisely what makes L&#39;Agence unique.&nbsp;&quot;The brilliance of what we do is in the simplicity. We don&#39;t do runway that&#39;s shocking, we don&#39;t do things that are tricky [but]&nbsp;the clothing really warrants being here. We&#39;re ready for Fashion Week.&quot;

Since co-founding J Brand in 2005, Jeff Rudes has been notorious for his uncanny ability to transform basics into something special and L&rsquo;Agence Spring 2019 is no exception.
