Featuring major models, Yeezy shoes, and a luggage collection debut, the show was truly the future of fashion.

Following a tough few seasons for New York Fashion Week, with designers leaving for Europe and some overall dissatisfaction with diversity and creativity, Spring 2019 is reviving excitement. Rising designers are putting their potential center stage, with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/christian-cowan-spring-nyfw-2019" target="_blank">Christian Cowan</a> celebrating youthful womanhood in a lively collection including a sunhat dress, and Sander Lak graduating from color play to tell&nbsp;stories with texture for his sixth <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/six-emerging-labels-on-our-radar" target="_blank">Sies Marjan</a> collection. Celebrity favorite LaQuan Smith is renewing hope in his own way, using vintage mug shot prints (notably Rosa Parks&#39;s),&nbsp;sophisticated sparkle and a new luggage collaboration with Sprayground to create next year&#39;s cool-kid uniform.

While the runway no longer features celebrities like <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/politics-culture/kim-kardashian-unexpected-advocacy" target="_blank">Kim Kardashian</a> and Rihanna, its cast still comprised some major names: <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/the-2018-pirelli-calendar-features-an-all-black-cast" target="_blank">Duckie Thot</a> opened the show, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/tommy-hilfiger-takes-shanghai-for-fw18" target="_blank">Winnie Harlow</a> closed it&nbsp;and the likes of Danielle Herrington and Daphne Groeneveld walked in between. The cast,&nbsp;as well as the clothing--think sheer bodysuits styled braless with destroyed denim, or biker shorts paired with tiny sunglasses, all with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/yeezy-season-6-took-twinning-to-a-whole-new-level" target="_blank">Yeezy</a> shoes--communicated that Smith is&nbsp;not&nbsp;anything like more traditional designers in Europe, but his clothing is just as covetable, if not more so in a society that&#39;s been craving something new. Expect to see his star rise alongside those of his clients and models.
