Fitting well alongside a nature theme that's run from New York to Paris, Jonathan Anderson modernized the concept of classic femininity.

Taking place inside the Maison de l&#39;UNESCO in Paris, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/loewe-mens-fall-2019-lookbook-tyler-mitchell">Loewe</a>&#39;s&nbsp;Spring&nbsp;2020 show exuded elements of modern femininity and luxury. Between readable subtleties and structure-play, creative director <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/jw-anderson-keyts-campaign-2019">Jonathan Anderson</a>&nbsp;painted&nbsp;a poetic collection, taking a masterful approach down to the smallest detail. On a cream carpet with surrounding potted grass and amethyst geodes, motifs from far in the past mesmerized the audience in&nbsp;a wardrobe that truly&nbsp;kicks off the next decade.

The collection presents a nuanced vision of elegance, as it takes elements from historical versions of high-society femininity. <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/tory-burch-fragrance-interview-2019">Nostalgia</a> has been a popular trend this decade as designers have taken inspiration from recent decades like the swinging sixties, the &#39;80s, and the turn of the millennium, and this collection is following that theme but going back even further&mdash;Anderson took inspiration from the 16th and 17th centuries.&nbsp;

One structural, avant-garde skirt stood out in particular, creating a more liberating version of&nbsp;crinolines, which were popular in the 19th century. The&nbsp;structure of the skirt is mimicked in the peplums that show up on other looks. The ruffles and flair on the pants in the collection display a&nbsp;continuation of exploring&nbsp;ways to give&nbsp;tailoring more feminine elements, following an interest in reinvention within this field that&#39;s also been visible at shows like <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/saint-laurent-spring-2020">Saint Laurent</a> and Boss.
