<p dir="ltr">This season, Olivia Ponton returns for yet another New York Fashion Week. Her first stop? One of the calendar's buzziest shows: Tommy Hilfiger's Spring/Summer 2027 show.&nbsp;</p>
<p dir="ltr">Ponton is no stranger to the American designer's world. In fact, the label's classic look is a major part of the appeal for her. "I think something that keeps bringing me back to the brand is how all-American and New York City it really feels," Ponton tells <em>L'OFFICIEL</em>. "I feel like when in doubt and I don't know what to wear, I know Tommy Hilfiger will always have a closet staple."</p>
<p dir="ltr">That same register—alluring, authentic, and instantly recognizable—is one Ponton has worked in for years. After stepping into the spotlight as one of the industry's most watched young models in 2022, Ponton has become a fixture in campaigns and on the runways—both as a front row star and a model. Earlier this year, Ponton expanded her own universe even further with <em>Booked, Blonde &amp; Busy</em>, the reading podcast she relaunched in June.</p>

<div>L'OFFICIEL: <em>Tell us about your look for the show. Was there one piece you knew immediately had to be the centerpiece?</em></div>
<div>OLIVIA PONTON: When I walked into my fitting, I saw this blue jacket hanging in the dressing room, and I immediately knew I wanted it to be the centerpiece of the outfit. I saw it and asked the team, “<em>What if I just wore this jacket with no undershirt</em>?” It was the perfect decision because it was super hot outside!&nbsp;</div>

<div>L'O: <em>You’ve had a relationship with Tommy Hilfiger for a few seasons now. What keeps bringing you back to the brand?</em></div>
<div>OP: I've been so grateful to have such a close relationship with Tommy Hilfiger for many, many seasons now and many years. I think something that keeps bringing me back to the brand is how all-American and New York City it really feels. I feel like when in doubt and I don't know what to wear, I know Tommy Hilfiger will always have a closet staple.</div>

<div>L'O: <em>This season’s show is taking over The Plaza, one of New York’s most iconic hotels. Does the setting influence how you want to dress for a show?</em></div>
<div>OP: The Plaza is such a classic embodiment of what New York feels like, which I think really aligns with the timelessness of Tommy Hilfiger. There have been so many times when my best friend Emma and I have wanted to have a true New York moment and have done a staycation at The Plaza. Being in the hotel just makes you feel so posh, feminine, and elevated. When I put on a Tommy outfit for a show, all of those same feelings come through in the styling and the way it makes me feel.</div>

<div>L'O:&nbsp;<em>What’s in the bag for a Tommy Hilfiger show? What are your Fashion Week essentials?</em></div>
<div>OP: I have a Summer Fridays lip balm, Salt &amp; Stone deodorant because I'm wearing a jacket and it's 88° right now, and a few loose pieces of gum. I also have floss, lots of lip liner, including the Summer Fridays lip stain, and the shade Limitless Brown from Make Up For Ever. I also have a little makeup puff, my apartment keys, an eyelash curler, more lip gloss, and a foundation just in case.</div>
<div>I also have a separate bag with a few different pieces of camera gear and supplies because I wanted to take photos before and after the show. I would say that's always a Fashion Week staple for me. I need my cameras.</div>

<div>L'O:&nbsp;<em>What’s one styling rule you’ve completely stopped following over the past few years?</em></div>
<div>OP: Something that I used to not do as much was wear high heels. And now, when in doubt, I'm wearing a high heel. Beauty is pain sometimes, but a high heel just makes me feel good! I think when you wear a cute, classic heel, it really brings the whole outfit together and makes it feel five times more elevated, even if it's just a little kitten heel.</div>

<div>L'O: <em>Tommy Hilfiger is synonymous with Americana. Is there a particular era or figure in American style you find yourself constantly coming back to for inspiration?</em></div>
<div>OP: I think I’m always drawn to that late ’90s, early 2000s American style—when everything felt really effortless and classic, but still cool. I love the idea of taking really simple pieces, like a great pair of jeans, a button-down, or a classic sweater, and making them feel like a look without trying too hard. That’s something I think Tommy does really well.</div>
