FKA Twigs Shuts Down Rick Owens' Front Row in Mini Dress and Face Tattoos
Celebrities embraced the designer's signature dark and dystopian aesthetic while attending the Fall/Winter 2025 show in Paris.
Rick Owens' Fall/Winter 2025 show in Paris attracted some of fashion's most daring enthusiasts, as the designer does every season, but none commanded attention quite like FKA Twigs.
The English musician joined the runway show and shut down the front row in a fully committed look: She opted for a burnt orange mini dress layered under a brown moto jacket. Footwear is where the ensemble really shined, as she paired it with exaggerated thigh-high boots featuring geometric folds that amplified that signature Rick Owens look. Adding yet another edgy touch to her look, Twigs sported intricate (and temporary) face tattoos that complemented her dramatic hairstyle. Known for her dystopian and futuristic aesthetic, the singer and style icon effortlessly embodied the brand’s avant-garde spirit.
For decades, Rick Owens has cemented his place as one of the fashion industry's most avant-garde and edgy designers, pushing boundaries with his dark, architectural, and futuristic silhouettes. So, of course, when it was time to unveil his Fall/Winter 2025 collection, celebrities and fashion insiders put on their own show in the front row.
Aside from Twigs, contemporary artist Takashi Murakami (who just collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a re-edition collection) dressed in an all-black ensemble with oversized proportions and futuristic footwear. Michèle Lamy, Owens' wife and muse, wore what looked like a balaclava or hooded top under a mossy knitwear piece with dramatically enlarged and sharp shoulders. Others like Luka Sabbat sported a spike-embellished leather jacket.
Stylist Nikita Vlassenko, known for his daring streetwear-meets-high-fashion sensibility, embraced the absurdity of Owens' dystopian aesthetics, wearing a long, flowing white dress with a minimalist yet sculptural design, characterized by its elongated sleeves and draped silhouette. To complement the outfit, Vlassenko shared the otherworldly vision with Twigs through an alien-like face prosthetic, adorned in pearls and metallics as his orange and blue hair cascaded down the dress.
