Alberta Ferretti Fall 2018
Ferretti showed us something different for her Fall 2018 collection, away from the romantic sillhouettes we're familiar with. The runway yielded some surprises with belted denim jumpsuits, purple high-waisted pants, and studded cowbow hats. Denim and West World fashion aren't usually the designer's forté, but she managed to glamourize them with '80s sillouhettes and still sent long silk dresses and sequined gowns down the runway.
“Women today have changed, and fashion needs to speak in a different way. It shouldn’t be so correct, it should show personality,” told Ferretti to Vogue. The Italian designer certainly sent a collection with a new personality this season through the modern runway women of today: Kaia Gerber, Grace Elizabeth, and the Hadid sisters.
