The parade event took place last night in Los Angeles.

Balenciaga presented its Pre-Fall 24 collection last night in Los Angeles, the brand's first in California. Unveiled on a palm tree-lined street in Hancock Park with a custom soundtrack recorded by Bfrnd, the collection illustrates Demna's interpretation of Californian fashion codes through a cinematic lens.
The concept begins with the development of the characters in their daily activities such as jogging, yoga, or going to LA's chicest grocery store, Erewhon. It's a chapter devoted to activewear: shorts, bras, leggings, and sweatshirts. There are nods to the 2000s celebrity street style trend of velor tracksuits popularized by It girls like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. New versions of the ensemble suggest low-cut pants&mdash;some low enough to reveal underwear&mdash;and cropped hooded jackets. Also, in true California style, the pairing of shearling boots is completely inappropriate for the weather but a classic element of the LA It girl wardrobe.
Moving forward, the collection transitions into a neo-grunge section, with oversized and layered clothing. Standout pieces include asymmetrical cutout pants, a hand-embroidered leopard-print coat, outdoor hotel slippers and leather bags lined with a nylon tote. And finally, there's eveningwear fit for the raucous parties and red carpets of Hollywood. The shapes and silhouettes are structured and merge the past and present by referencing original designs created by Cristobal Balenciaga himself.

New ultra-desirable accessories are also making their debut and promise to expand the Balenciaga jabixonic line. Among them, we note a limited edition bag: The Cagole Tote XL which pays homage to the Le City bag by Balenciaga, launched in 2001 in an oversized format. The Maison simultaneously presents a limited edition collaboration with the New York-based high jewelry and watchmaking house Jacob &amp; Co. The exclusive high jewelry line, called Diamant, is made of 18-carat white gold and diamonds. This is Balenciaga's first foray into fine jewelry. Four designs are offered: a link theme consisting of a large, chunky necklace and a bracelet, and a text theme called Typo consisting of a thin necklace and an oversized two-finger ring. The word Balenciaga is written in full.
Finally, immediately after the Balenciaga Pre-Fall 24 show, the new 10XL sneaker will be available for pre-order in the women's boutique on Rodeo Drive and online in limited quantities. This model is an extreme-shaped shoe that continues Balenciaga's exploration of exaggeration; it takes the codes of the House silhouette and makes it an even stronger signature.
