Scandinavian design has always been synonymous with the contemporary, and this season's biggest culmination of Nordic fashion is no different. Copenhagen Fashion Week celebrated the region's propensity for forward-thinking, featuring a slew of talented designers with an eye for the modern dresser.
On each runway, designers found a harmonious way to incorporate avant-garde aspirations with wearable silhouettes. Finnish brand Marimekko's relatively new creative director found fresh interpretations for the brand's signature splashy prints, while Saks Potts kept fans satisfied with its knack for artistic '90s minimalism. Taking inspiration from all facets of the Danish capital, the brand gives a modern spin to '90s minimalism, upholding timeless silhouettes with impeccable tailoring that's styled with unique proportions and layers. The designs are both playful and sophisticated, fitting for the contemporary woman.
