Hit me, baby, one more time! Britney Spears has just announced that she is pregnant with her third child. The 40-year-old singer, who is engaged to Sam Asghari, revealed the news on her Instagram account on Monday. She is already mother to Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, from her previous relationship with Kevin Federline.
On Instagram, Spears explained that she "lost a lot of weight" on her trip to Maui, and her partner Asghari jokingly said that she was "food pregnant" before taking a home pregnancy test.
She also revealed that the first few times she became pregnant, she suffered from perinatal depression. "Women didn’t talk about it back then … some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her … but now women talk about it everyday … thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret," she wrote.
This news follows a string of exciting new life developments for the pop star. In addition to having already announced that she is engaged (and that Donatella Versace is designing her wedding dress), Spears was released from her controversial conservatorship five months ago after 14 years of "abuse" from her guardians. In one of the points that the singer addressed during her testimony, she said that she was being forced to use an IUD that prevented her from getting pregnant.
