Burberry Unveils a New Logo
Burberry's newly-christened Creative Director Riccardo Tisci is set to unveil his first fashion show for the brand at the upcoming London Fashion Week in September, but he has already made some major changes to the historic British label.
Through posts on his Instagram, Tisci heralded the start of a "#newera" at Burberry by sharing a brand new logo for the brand. Gone are the horse and the knight; Tisci has chosen to keep things simple with a clean, sans-serif font specially designed by the famous graphic designer, Peter Saville. (You may remember him for his redesign of Calvin Klein's logo last year.)
Saville has also designed a new monogram for Burberry, which comes in honey and orange hues. Its design was inspired by an archival Thomas Burberry monogram that had caught Tisci's eye for feeling "very contemporary" — which is pretty much what we should expect from the designer's debut collection for Burberry next month.
