Cardi B Just Dropped Her First Fashion Collaboration
Cardi B has just dropped her first fashion collab: a collection of shoes with American designer Steve Madden. Cardi B skyrocketed to the spotlight earlier this year when her song "Bodak Yellow" turned her into the first solo female rapper to land the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 since Lauryn Hill in 1989 — thus making her an obvious choice for any mainstream brand to tap for a collaboration (except, apparently, Christian Louboutin).
"All of this came about because I keep bringing up to my manager, I want to work with brands that are affordable," Cardi said of the collaboration. This is, arguably, why the pairing makes sense: both have found a popular home among mainstream America.
The collection itself is composed of thigh-high latex boots, sparkly silver ankle boots, stiletto heels, bright pumps, and even some shades (would you expect her to deliver anything without a little bit of shade?). True to her word, everything comes in a varying range of affordable price points, from $36 to $230.
Oh, and did we mention that the collab also comes with a series of style tips from Cardi? You can watch them all on the brand's YouTube channel, and shop the collection here.
