Every Celebrity at Dior's Pre-Fall 2024 Show
A look at every celebrity spotted among the star-studded attendees at Dior's Pre-Fall 2024 show held at the Brooklyn Museum in New York.
Dior unveiled its Pre-Fall 2024 collection at the Brooklyn Museum in New York tonight. With over 100 looks gracing the carpet, many waited in anticipation for what Maria Grazia Chiuri had in store for the collection. But in addition to the series of garments that were about to grace the runway, many were also curious as to whether there might be any famous faces in the show's audience.
Among the crowd were Naomi Watts and her daughter, Kai Schreiber, as well as Anya Taylor-Joy. Taylor-Joy was spotted donning a head-to-toe black ensemble that featured a sheer scoop neckline. Watts and her daughter were channeling a lighter springtime look, with Kai wearing a butterfly-pint-clad white ensemble and Watts wearing a white sundress. True to the show's theme, Alexandra Daddario was seen in a black and white printed dress, elegantly accessorized with a shawl over the top. Her seat neighbor, Alexandra Shipp, differed with an all-black dress, yet the two matched as they both brought their iconic Lady Dior purses to the event.
The event was held at the Brooklyn Museum, marking the brand's second collaboration with the museum. The first partnership occurred in 2021 when the museum featured the exhibit “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams,” exploring the fashion house's over 70-year history through an array of garments, sketches, and other items that highlighted the impact of New York City on Christian Dior and his designs. With this collection, Chiuri chose to delve into Christian Dior's legacy and his primary mission of designing for women from a feminine perspective. The style showcased in this collection pays homage to Christian Dior's close friend, Marlene Dietrich. Chiuri took inspiration from Dietrich's distinctive presence, blending various aesthetics into many of the looks.
“I think it’s a long relationship. In any case, New York, Paris, and Milan are the cities of fashion. Now there are also cities that are important, but especially for my generation. Because we are speaking about generation, New York is the city,” Chiuri told WWD.
