For Spring 2018, the brand's denim line takes inspiration from artist Gabriel Kuri. 

It&#39;s not the first time that the Swedish brand takes an <a href="https://www.vogue.com/article/acne-studios-jack-pierson-collaboration">artful&nbsp;route</a> to a collection, but it&#39;s definitely a&nbsp;first to paste&nbsp;pieces of chewing&nbsp;gums and receipts on&nbsp;hoodies. For Spring 2018, Acne Studios Bl&aring; Konst looks to Gabriel Kuri, a Mexican-born sculptor currently residing in Brussels. The artist is known to have interest in the most common of&nbsp;objects&nbsp;(hence gums&nbsp;and receipts), and very basic apparels like hooded-sweatshirts, t-shirts, and fluid dresses.&nbsp;

&ldquo;I love how Gabriel Kuri looks at the world. He brings together objects and materials to tell his own story, which resonates with how we do things at Acne Studios Bl&aring; Konst. It is about examining and celebrating the everyday and the beauty of specific design,&quot; said creative director Jonny Johansson in a press statement.&nbsp;

In celebration of the launch, Kuri created ten pieces of art for Acne Studios Bl&aring; Konst that will be displayed in key stores around the world. The art represents his (fashionable)&nbsp;interpretation of a Chinese joss paper offering, which brings the idea of form, function, and social currency. The &quot;offering&quot; is&nbsp;sort of a self-portrait&nbsp;of&nbsp;the artist&acute;s current life, as well as his tokens of aspiration and longing.&nbsp;
