Scandi style is full of paradoxes, which is part of the appeal. It's both minimal and maximal, ornamental yet utilitarian, flamboyant but consistently understated. Although difficult to define, the hallmark creativity of Scandinavian fashion has made quite the impression over recent years.
When we think of Nordic style we tend to associate it with the elevated eclecticism of Acne Studios or outgoing knitwear by A. Roege Hove. Chic layers worn by Scandi fashion influencers like Matilda Djerf might also ring a bell. From the joyous clashing of bright green with Barbiecore pink to just the right amount of oversized, similar sentiments were ever-present in this season’s street style.
