<p>In case you missed it, the film festival has been a veritable hotbed for incoming designers to give the public a sneak peek of new eras and even newer eras amid an ongoing game of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/fashion-creative-directors-guide-jonathan-anderson-dior-loewe" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fashion musical chairs</a> that has seen a dozen or so major labels shifting around senior creative roles.</p>
<p>Though we always look forward to fashion weeks around the world, this year's <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/new-york-fashion-week-spring-summer-2026-schedule-designers-shows-what-to-see-do-nyfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Spring/Summer 2026 collections</a> are especially high-profile, given the sheer number of designer debuts on the womenswear <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/paris-fashion-week-spring-summer-2026-schedule-brands-showing-dior-chanel-debut-alaia-everything-to-know" target="_blank" rel="noopener">calendar</a>. Some designers, like <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/pierpaolo-piccioli-balenciaga-creative-director" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pierpaolo Piccioli&mdash;now at Balenciaga</a>, after almost ten years at the helm of Valentino&mdash;are keeping their first creations under wraps, but others are already teasing their future fashions. And with regard to the sophisticated, polished styles many of our favorite houses are known for, where better to tease debut collections than the glamorous red carpets at the 2025 Venice Film Festival?&nbsp;</p>

<p>By now, there's a good chance that anyone with Internet access has been witness to one of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/versace-dario-vitale-new-creative-director-donatella" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dario Vitale</a>'s first looks for Versace, worn by both Julia Roberts and Amanda Seyfried in a&nbsp;<em>Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants</em>-esque viral moment.</p>
<p>While the outfit's first debut was anything but quiet, the look itself points toward the potential for a new simple, yet chic aesthetic from Versace&mdash;a massive departure from the kind of bold, beautiful looks <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/donatella-versace-best-celebrity-runway-moments" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donatella Versace</a> created while at the helm of the label. However, the casual blazer, jeans, and button-down do beg the question: is this what Dario's Versace will look like, or was it all one massive public stunt to generate interest&mdash;not that it wasn't already there&mdash;ahead of his debut?</p>

<p>Exquisite tailoring, playful geometry, and lots of leather were the name of the game for new Bottega Veneta creative director <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/bottega-veneta-creative-director-louise-trotter-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Louise Trotter</a>, who came to Bottega by way of Carven. Signatures of the house were present in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/jacob-elordi-frankenstein-movie-venice-film-festival-premiere" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jacob Elordi</a>'s intreciatto woven shoes and Vicky Krieps' elegant, minimalistic&mdash;yet eyecatching&mdash;gown, but not without Trotter's sophisticated design style effortlessly merged into the looks.&nbsp;</p>

<p>If these looks are anything to go by, it seems Jonathan Anderson is settling in just fine at Dior&mdash;as if we had any doubts, especially following his stunning <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/dior-jonathan-anderson-mens-spring-summer-2026-fashion-show-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">debut for the menswear collection</a>. For the 2025 Venice Film Festival, the designer dressed Alba Rohrwacher, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/who-is-monica-barbaro-andrew-garfield-girlfriend-wimbledon-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Monica Barbaro</a>, Greta Lee, Mia Goth, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/andrew-garfield-movies-best-roles-spiderman" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Andrew Garfield</a> in a variety of looks, ranging from Rohrwacher's haute couture royal blue bustle-centric gown to Goth's slinky black silk dress to Lee's green menswear-inspired frock.</p>
<p>To be clear, we already knew Anderson had the creative range, but the lineup seen in Venice illustrates just how big he's dreaming at Dior&mdash;plus, with an archive of that size to work with, it's safe to say fashion fans around the world will be in sartorial bliss following his debut womenswear collection.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Over in Chanel's world, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/chanel-new-creative-director-matthieu-blazy-details" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Matthieu Blazy</a> appeared to be toying with a few archival looks, and his muse for the sartorial experiment? None other than Ayo Edebiri. Playful, feminine, and sculpturally dynamic, these looks spell a season full of revamped Chanel classics, tweed, and delicate touches, finished off with Blazy's signature style&mdash;innovative and artful, yet timelessly sophisticated&mdash;to look forward to.&nbsp;</p>
