Beloved designer Diane von Furstenberg is opening up her archives with a brand new initiative: DVF Vintage.&nbsp;

As any good fashion fanatic knows, the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/diane-von-furstenberg-history-fashion-iconic-looks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Diane von Furstenberg </a>archive is extensive, storied, and jam-packed with iconic looks and historic styles, and now, with the label's latest initiative, DVF Vintage, a curated selection of archival garments will be available for purchase.&nbsp;
The Belgian designer first rose to prominence in the early '70s when she rocked the fashion industry with a simple, yet sophisticated new design&mdash;the jersey knit wrap dress. Though von Furstenberg was far from the first to experiment with the look, her iteration resonated deeply with the women of the era and launched her into new heights as one of the age's It designers. Between the emblematic wrap dress, dramatic belted looks, a penchant for bold patterns, and flowy maxi dresses, von Furstenberg's design signatures are numerous and instantly identifiable. Though many styles from the '70s, '80s, and '90s have fallen out of favor with modern crowds, the tastemakers of today know that von Furstenberg's legacy speaks to all sorts of sartorial sensibilities.&nbsp;

&ldquo;I always wanted to design timeless dresses but I didn&rsquo;t know how timeless they would become. The essence of timelessness is in dresses that last forever, and to have a great vintage piece is a jewel that lasts forever in your closet," said von Furstenberg in a release.
DVF Vintage f&ecirc;tes the label's longstanding allure and impact, offering up some of the archive's most coveted styles for acquisition. In an effort to uphold circular fashion, the DVF flagship in New York City's Meatpacking District is hosting a buy-back program, allowing clients to consign pre-loved DVF pieces. DVF Vintage is also available to shop <a href="https://www.dvf.com/pages/dvf-vintage" target="_blank" rel="noopener">online</a>, with a selection of vintage pieces, selections from von Furstenberg's personal wardrobe, and pre-loved consigned items.&nbsp;&nbsp;
<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/diane-von-furstenberg-henry-zankov-collection" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DVF</a> celebrated the launch in New York City at the label's flagship on Oct. 20, where von Furstenberg herself co-hosted a party with Liana Satenstein.&nbsp;
