Have you ever imagined taking used parts from the biggest brands in the world and building a completely new product? This is precisely what the dutch fashion designer Duran Lantink does. For his Fall/Winter 2021 fashion show, the designer transformed a pile of clothes from Balmain, Balenciaga, Prada, Proenza Schouler, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Marine Serre, and many more, into brand new looks, all in the name of upcycling.

The fashion industry is the second greatest producer of pollution in the world, leaving it in a race against time to reduce its impact on the environment. Several designers and brands are looking for alternative materials, such as recycled and organic fabrics.

Thanks to his innovation and creative prowess, Lantink's work has already been recognized within the industry: he was a finalist for the 2019 LVMH Award, collaborated with brands like Ellery, and created personalized pieces for great artists like Billie Eilish and Janelle Monáe.

But it doesn't stop there. Last year, the stylist debuted a very ambitious project in partnership with Auverture manufacturing a series of jewels that unite two of the largest companies in the industry: Tiffany & Co and Cartier.
