Emily Oberg started Sporty & Rich as a mood board for vintage sportswear with a luxury feel. Today, that mood board has evolved into a print magazine, a clothing line, and a wellness club. The apparel brand, in particular, has become a cult favorite among those chasing that casually athletic aesthetic à la retro J. Crew ads.

Recently, Sporty & Rich expanded its presence in the luxury world by partnering with one of Paris's most historic hotels: Le Bristol. The exclusive collaboration puts a Parisian chic twist on the brand's signature sportswear designs, capturing that elusive effortlessness of French Girl style.

"I fell in love with Hotel Le Bristol while visiting Paris for work," says Oberg. "It has a special feeling of history and elegance that you can't help but notice as soon as you walk through the door. The décor, staff, and service each embody the true essence of luxury and to us, the very meaning of Sporty & Rich. We are honored to team up with a brand as established and recognized as Le Bristol. In designing the collection, I wanted to create pieces that spoke to the hotel's history."

Timed to the capsule collection's drop, Oberg hosted a party at Le Bristol during Paris Fashion Week, bringing together the who's who of the fashion world to celebrate this fusion of French and American luxury.

In the midst of her fashion-packed week, Oberg spoke to L'OFFICIEL about her love for Le Bristol, PFW essentials, and favorite things to do in Paris.

L’OFFICIEL: Who’s the most interesting person you’ve met during fashion week?

Emily Oberg: The newest version of myself.

L’O: What’s the best fashion week party you’ve attended? Why?

EO: The Sporty & Rich x Le Bristol event. A pinch-me moment for sure.

L’O: What are your fashion week essentials?

EO: Water, food, oxygen.

L’O: If your phone died in the middle of fashion week, what would you do next?

EO: Celebrate.

L’O: What makes Le Bristol so special to you?

EO: It’s rich history and iconography of luxury. It’s one of my favorite hotels and I have great memories there.

L’O: Favorite thing to do in Paris that has absolutely nothing to do with fashion week?

EO: Sit in the Tuileries and play cards with my boyfriend.

L’O: What’s the beauty product that gets you through fashion week?

EO: The Sporty & Rich Multi-Purpose Lip Balm.

L’O: What’s a brand you love right now that you’ve been gatekeeping?

EO: Dunst (South Korean brand).

L’O: What’s a fashion trend that you regret trying?

EO: Regrets are for people who look backwards.

L’O: Aside from Sporty & Rich, of course, if you could wear one Paris fashion house exclusively for the rest of your life, what would it be?

EO: Hermès.
