It's been hard to miss out on Cristiano Ronaldo's engagement announcement with his longtime girlfriend. Georgina Rodr&iacute;guez for multiple reasons. Namely, because the couple is taking their relationship to the next level, but really because they are doing so with one of the most extravagant engagement rings we have ever witnessed.&nbsp;
Rodriguez made the news public on August 11, posting a photo to her 68.7 million followers of her hand atop Ronaldo's, with a ring on her finger. She captioned the post "S&iacute;, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas," meaning "I do. In this and all my lives" in English. And while the sentiment is heartwarming, all anyone has been able to talk about is the incredibly grand scale of the rock.

News outlets and diamond experts have been speculating on the cost and number of carats a ring like that must have, and the answers are astounding. While nothing is exact, the jeweler, Maggie Simpkins, estimated for <a href="https://www.thecut.com/article/cristiano-ronaldo-georgina-rodriguez-engagement-ring-cost-carats.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Cut</a> that the ring has somewhere between 25 to 30 carats and roughly costs around $2 to $4 million. Though other news outlets have reported that the ring cost up to $5 million.&nbsp;
The couple, who share four children, have been dating for eight years, after their chance encounter at a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/gucci-pomellato-high-jewelry-2025-collection-monili-labrinti-horsebit-marina" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gucci </a>store in Madrid, where Rodr&iacute;guez worked. Since then, she has lived her Cinderella story, modeling for designer brands, launching an athleisure line, and starring in the Netflix docu-series, I Am Georgina.&nbsp;
Though despite all of that, she and Ronaldo never officially tied the knot, and now seeing the ring, it just might've been worth the wait. We're sure, with a ring like hers, their upcoming wedding will be quite the spectacle that we will continue to report on as more details are released.
