Sabato De Sarno's sophomore collection converses with reality without sacrificing glamour.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/sabato-de-sarno-new-gucci-creative-director-fashion-designer-valentino" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sabato De Sarno</a>&rsquo;s second collection for Gucci solidifies his pragmatism as a designer. When De Sarno debuted with the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/gucci-spring-summer-2024-milan-fashion-week" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Spring/Summer 2024</a> collection, many noticed the fashion house's complete rebrand.&nbsp;
The beautiful florals, whims, and eccentricities of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/alessandro-michele-gucci-creative-director-harry-styles-jared-leto" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alessandro Michele</a>&rsquo;s designs were replaced with clean, simple, and practical pieces defined by cohesive color schemes and traditional silhouettes. This switch, while abrupt, may have marked a necessary transition for the brand. While an eclectic spirit is always admired, fashion houses must be mindful of the consumer&rsquo;s growing desire for minimalistic wearable clothing that has a higher cost-per-wear.&nbsp;
This collection seemed to tell the story of a woman's day-to-night. Coats and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/blazers-fashion-shopping" target="_blank" rel="noopener">blazers</a> for the hustle and bustle of the days, glamorous and glittery dresses for dazzling nights, and luxurious underclothes to wind down. "Capture the extraordinary where the ordinary is expected," said De Sarno in a press release. "My dreams, as with my fashion, always converse with reality. Because I am not searching for another world to live in, but rather of ways to live in this world." &nbsp;&nbsp;
There are some similarities between this collection and the one presented for spring 2024. For one, languid and light <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/slip-dress-fashion-trend-shopping" target="_blank" rel="noopener">slips</a> made their way back, marking De Sarno&rsquo;s taste for delicate feminine garments. Loose but well-tailored coats were featured in both collections as well, although this time, in keeping with fall/winter aesthetics, the bright neons were replaced with muted tones.&nbsp;
Burgundy and dark green in the form of thigh-high boots, platform loafers, structured jackets, and graceful velvet dresses were notable and attractive. Pieces with sequins and patterns, while eye-catching, didn&rsquo;t wear the models but rather emboldened their presence. This collection proves that being straightforward doesn&rsquo;t always translate to being plain and that De Sarno is in keeping with Gucci's history of designing clothes thoughtfully and attentively.&nbsp;
