For Episode of 3 Gucci’s seven-part film collaboration with Gus Vant Sant, Harry Styles debuts the brand's new collection while joined by designs from Bianca Saunders and Mowalola.
Gucci ambassador and L'OFFICIEL star Harry Styles is the latest cameo in "Ouverture of Something that Never Ended," the seven-part film series that the Italian fashion brand has made with director Gus Van Sant. The week-long project serves as the debut of Gucci's latest collection and is part of a digital fashion and film event titled GucciFest in which artists and muses to the brand such as Billie Eilish, Jeremy O. Harris, Ariana Papademetropoulos, Florence Welch, and even other designers connect over their artistic perspectives.
For Styles' episode, the third in Van Sans epic that launched Monday, the "Watermelon Sugar" singer donned a vintage-style tee that read "Gucci Loves Pink Eschatology 1921"–a reference to both the connection between humans and the universe and the year that the Gucci house was founded." On the back of the pink shirt a "25" alludes to Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s favorite number. Featuring music by Kim Gordon and an appearance by Italian art critic Achille Bonito Olivia, who speaks with Styles, the short—seen above—is joined by separate works by designers Bianca Saunders and Mowalola.
Halfway through GucciFest, the rest of the week's lineup is packed with much more, spotlighting 15 independent designers—from Collina Strada to Stefan Cooke—in total and many more friends of the house.
