The Die My Love actor and Longines brand ambassador opened up to L&rsquo;OFFICIEL about all things time at the grand opening of the watchmaker's SoHo boutique.

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/jennifer-lawrence-street-style-casual-outfits" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jennifer Lawrence</a> doesn&rsquo;t have much free time. But if she did have an extra hour in the day, the actor, 35, knows exactly how she&rsquo;d spend it. &ldquo;I would lay in bed and watch TV,&rdquo; she tells L&rsquo;OFFICIEL, adding, without hesitation, that her show of choice would be The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. &ldquo;But, oh my god, I could do so much with an hour.&rdquo;
The mom of two is currently in the middle of a busy press tour for <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/die-my-love-movie-jennifer-lawrence-robert-pattinson-cast-trailer-release-date" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Die My Love</a>, her new psychological thriller co-starring Robert Pattinson that hits theaters on November 7. In between red carpet premieres for the film&mdash;a nightmarish exploration of postpartum mental health, centered on Lawrence&rsquo;s unraveling character&mdash;she kept things light, continuing to serve up one effortlessly chic look after another while attending events in New York City. And when eager fans got word that she&rsquo;d be attending the grand opening of <a href="https://www.longines.com/en-us/">Longines</a>&rsquo;s SoHo boutique at 128 Spring Street last Wednesday, they turned out in droves, shutting down an entire city block in the hopes that they'd catch a glimpse of the brand ambassador during the Swiss watchmaker&rsquo;s ribbon-cutting ceremony.
<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/jennifer-lawrence-style-outfit-inspiration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lawrence</a> delivered a masterclass in layering for the occasion, pairing a simple black skirt with two chocolate brown sweaters: one worn untucked, the other draped over her shoulders. It's the latest of her trendsetting street style looks to spark conversation online&mdash;although if she's aware of the Internet's obsession with her fashion choices, Lawrence doesn't let on. &ldquo;Oh, well, that&rsquo;s nice,&rdquo; she says at a mention of the growing interest in her everyday looks. She seems equally happy to dole out the compliments as she is to accept them; speaking from experience, she just might even marvel at your overstuffed tote, dub it &ldquo;very nice,&rdquo; and send you on your way with a friendly &ldquo;enjoy your bag,&rdquo; as if she sold it to you herself. 
The actor has recently had accessories on her mind. Since starring in the campaign for Longines&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.longines.com/en-us/watches/elegance/primaluna">PrimaLuna</a> collection, which celebrates timeless elegance and contemporary sophistication, she's taken a more considered approach to her own finishing touches. &ldquo;I've been really into statement jewelry lately,&rdquo; she says. &ldquo;I've just been wearing more permanent pieces, like an ear cuff and anklets that never come off. And so I&rsquo;ve been just using a timepiece as a permanent statement in that way, too.&rdquo;&nbsp;

L&rsquo;OFFICIEL: We&rsquo;re in SoHo today celebrating the new Longines boutique, which was designed to honor the neighborhood's architecture and heritage. As a New Yorker yourself, what's your favorite way to spend time in the area?&nbsp;
JENNIFER LAWRENCE: This is really the perfect place for such a historical brand. Because SoHo is so well-preserved; we still have the cobblestones here and the old buildings. It's just one of the most delightful neighborhoods in New York that hasn&rsquo;t been destroyed yet. My favorite thing to do here is actually to go to Fanelli&rsquo;s [Fanelli Cafe] across the street. They have really good wings. There's a cool kids&rsquo; park nearby, too.&nbsp;
L&rsquo;O: As someone who has a very busy schedule, what do you look for in a watch?&nbsp;
JL: I think the most important thing for me in a timepiece is just that it can transition from day to night and I don't feel like I have to change everything over, you know? If I'm going to, like, an elegant dinner as I so often do. [Laughs]
L&rsquo;O: There are plenty of options in the PrimaLuna collection, from the dial&mdash;silver with blue numerals, white or blue mother-of-pearl with diamond indexes&mdash;to the choice of a stainless steel bracelet or a leather strap. What&rsquo;s your go-to everyday style?&nbsp;
JL: It's normally silver with blue. But I do also love a leather strap.&nbsp;
L&rsquo;O: How do you decide what watch to wear when you&rsquo;re doing a red carpet?
JL: It really just depends on when you put it on. You would think that wearing something platinum or silver would be perfect for the red carpet, but a lot of times if you&rsquo;re doing, like, a black gown, then a black leather strap is going to go better than silver. So I'd say it's a case-by-case basis.

L&rsquo;O: You&rsquo;ve been doing press for 'Die My Love,' which marks your first time playing a mother since becoming one yourself in 2022&mdash;and you welcomed your second child this past spring. Having been through the postpartum period twice now, what message do you hope other moms take away from the film?&nbsp;
JL: Oh, god&hellip; That you&rsquo;re not alone. That what you did is extraordinary. I don't know, I mean, it's a very unique, animalistic experience to go through. And you're definitely not the same after.&nbsp;
L&rsquo;O: Your character is struggling with her mental health, suffering from postpartum depression and psychosis. What was most important for you to get right in your portrayal?&nbsp;
JL: I think the most important thing for me to get right was being very straightforward and direct about what she was going through. Really thinking about the truth behind what she was saying and doing, you know?&nbsp;
L&rsquo;O: What was the biggest challenge of the role?
JL: Well, the hardest thing was just that for my entire career, I've always relied on my instincts. But because I am a mom playing a mom, I had to kind of shut down certain instincts. I would be like, Well, she would never do that. She can't do that. And I&rsquo;d have to remind myself, No, she would. You wouldn&rsquo;t. So I had to kind of grapple with Jennifer's instincts as opposed to Grace&rsquo;s, which was definitely new. Because normally I would just be like, Oh I have an instinct to do this, and that would take precedent.

L&rsquo;O: After a day of filming such dark and intense material, how did you unwind?
JL: Well, fortunately, The Secret Lives of Mormon TikTokers [The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives] was on its second season. So that is what I did&mdash;and I didn't have to wait for episodes once a week, because if you'll remember, they all kind of come out at once on Hulu. After I finished that, I was doomed.
L&rsquo;O: This isn&rsquo;t your first psychological thriller&mdash;you were in 'Mother!' [2017], after all&mdash;but has your post-filming routine changed over time?
JL: Yeah, I mean, I used to have a glass of wine and stay up until I was naturally tired. Now I have to get into bed right away, because I'm already losing a sleep race with two people who are going to wake up with a bang. So it's just, like, Operation Get to Sleep, because you're gonna be awake before you notice.
L&rsquo;O: And what time is that wakeup call, typically?
JL: My alarm is set every single day for 6:45. Sometimes I snooze until 7:15. [Laughs].
