Lily-Rose Depp Dresses Up Biker Shorts With Chanel Sling-Backs
An outfit Jocelyn would approve of.
The pandemic-era biker short trend is already ripe for a comeback, with Lily-Rose Depp recently spotted in Los Angeles donning a pair of biker shorts accessorized with Chanel sling-backs. While many believe biker shorts to be reserved solely for exercise, history would prove otherwise, as the '90s-era trend has added a chic spin to athleisure. While the public is no longer forbidden from leaving their homes and the fad of at-home workouts may have subsided, one must remember that biker shorts were an integral part of '90s fashion icons. Who could forget Princess Diana fashioning a pair multiple times during strolls around London? Or Alicia Silverstone's iconic character, Cher Horowitz, costumed in biker shorts during the hilarious and notalgic gym class scene?
Along with the white knee-length Gimaguas biker shorts and matching white Chanel heels, the actress was spotted in a Paloma Wool long-sleeve along with a cream tote, also from Paloma Wool. She casually wore her hair in a half-up-half-down hairstyle pulled together with a white clip.
Last week, Depp wore a similarly chic look as she stepped out of the Los Angeles grocery store Erewhon with a white ribbed t-shirt and an olive green mini cargo skirt. She paired the casual outfit with preppy penny loafers and white calf-length socks to go underneath, and she styled the ensemble with yet another Paloma Wool bag.
With Depp being as busy as she is, it's no wonder she's channeling girl-on-the-go looks. The actress is set to play Ellen in the remake of the cult horror film Nosferatu and will be starring alongside Emma Corrin, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Willem Dafoe.
"It's even more Ellen's story than previous versions. And Lily-Rose is absolutely phenomenal," director Robert Eggers told Digital Spy late last year. The film is scheduled to release in December 2024.
