Marine Serre's Collaboration With Repetto Is a Balletcore Dream

Balletcore just got a major upgrade, thanks to two French fashion companies.
Marine Serre released a collaborative collection on Monday with Repetto, a label lauded for its ballet shoes and dancewear. The drop features eight different ballet flat options, starting at $389 and going up to $410. Some boast Marine Serre's cult-favorite moon print, while other have a lower key embossing detail of the French brand's lunar logo. Colorways are right on trend, from denim ballet flats to cherry red, two standout pairs. There are also metallic, black, and eggshell options.
"As a child, I was captivated by the elegant style of Repetto ballerinas. On top of that they were crafted near my home in Saint Médard d'Excideuil. For my sister and I it was magical to visit this factory, which introduced us to the world of craftsmanship," Serre herself said in a press release. "I am thrilled to see my signature moon print featured on these iconic shoes today."
The collaboration between Repetto and Marine Serre is a tribute to both brands' shared values, like the elegance of movement and a blend of heritage and modernity. This limited-edition capsule collection reimagines two of Repetto's classic ballet flat silhouettes, the Lilouh and the Camille, merging their timeless craftsmanship with Marine Serre's contemporary design.
"We are thrilled to collaborate with Marine Serre, a designer whose commitment to responsible fashion aligns perfectly with our heritage. This collection is a celebration of craftsmanship and innovation," Repetto CEO Charlotte Gaucher said in the press release. Serre, a pioneer of circular fashion, incorporates upcycled materials into her designs, echoing Repetto's dedication to local production and artisanal know-how.
Since its founding in 1947 by by Rose Repetto (inspired by her dancer son Roland Petit), Repetto has become the gold standard for ballet flats and dance shoes. The French dancewear label's creations have graced the feet of figures like Brigitte Bardot and Margot Fonteyn. As fashion continues its balletcore obsession, this capsule comes at the right time.
