Melissa and Larroudé Release New Shoe Collaboration for Summer
The Brazilian footwear and accessory brand partners with the New York-based brand to release two new shoes.
Melissa and Larroudé bring the '90s flair to 2022 for their new collaboration. Having previously worked together on slides in 2021, the brands are switching their focus to heels and sandals for their new collection. For the new line, the brands present the Melissa x Larroudé Slingback Heel and the Melissa x Larroudé Cali just in time for the warm weather.
For this collection, the brand focuses on Larroudé's classic styles and utilizes Melissa's sustainably produced and recyclable plastic materials to create a cohesion of aesthetics.
For the Melissa x Larroudé Slingback Heel, the brands take inspiration from Cinderella for the design. Made from a translucent Meflex upper, the shoe has a reflective, glass-like look that resembles the iconic Cinderella slipper. The heel is low and made from translucent polycarbonate to further add to the whimsical effect. The heel comes in the perfect summertime colors of green, orange, black, sky blue, and lavender.
The Melissa x Larroudé Cali takes the best of both brands and comes together to create the perfect slide. Made from Meflex straps and a voluminous base, these slides are both comfortable and stylish. They give off the perfect '90s Polly Pocket nostalgia through the design and the bright colorway. The slides are available in purple, green, blue, red, and black.
