"Fashion gets up," began the National Chamber of Italian Fashion President Carlo Capasa at the press conference for Milan Fashion Week. After more than a year in isolation, physical fashion shows will return to Italy for Spring/Summer 2022 Men's Fashion Week with a crossover fashion week between digital presentations and physical events scheduled from 18 to 22 June 2021.

At the moment, four physical fashion shows have been confirmed: Dolce & Gabbana on June 19, Etro on June 20, and Giorgio Armani on June 21 with a double appointment. The rest of the calendar consists of 48 appointments, nine presentations by appointment, and six events for a total of 63 brands expected to show. This MFW will mark the debut of Glenn Martens, the new Creative Director of Diesel who on, June 21, will present an "all-gender" collection. Brands Tiscar Espadas, Mans, Franc Elis, Zenam, Revenant Rv Nt, 424, Knt, and Andrea Pompilio for Harmont & Blaine will also present for the first time.

“We are approaching this new fashion week with a positive and optimistic attitude. The fact that the government has accepted our requests placed during the MISE Textile and Fashion Table, authorizing the holding of fairs in attendance from June 15, has allowed us to confirm the dates of Milan Fashion Week, giving an important signal to restart," says Carlo Capasa, President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. "It is a positive sign that allows us to organize a fashion week not only digital but also with events in attendance. We are ready to welcome system operators in complete safety who will be able to start traveling again as early as June, also giving the possibility to make swabs for the press and accredited buyers."

CNMI will also allow interested parties the opportunity to participate in Milan Fashion Week on the official website of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, the association's platform for digitally enjoying all the contents of Milan Fashion Week, including fashion shows and presentations. In the same portal, a series of thematic rooms will also be available for Designer for the Planet, which will present a series of collections by emerging designers, focused on sustainability issues including Good Good Good, Kid Of Broken Future, Marrakshi Life, Abdel El Tayeb, Simon Cracker, Marcello Pipitone, Bayria Eyewear, Emergency Room and Zerobarracento.

This year also celebrates “Portugal Fashion: 25 Years Protecting Talent” scheduled for June 20. In addition to re-proposing the shows of two Portuguese brands on the calendar, Miguel Vieira and David Catalan, special content created by Frederico Martins will be screened, in addition to the shows of three other Made in Portugal brands, including Marques Almeida.

To celebrate the event's return in compliance with the anti-COVID regulations, the National Chamber of Italian Fashion will organize an inaugural outdoor cocktail party.
