Moncler’s New Eyewear Is Perfect for Your Après-Ski Moodboard
Capturing the essence of mountain landscapes through dynamic shapes and frosty metals, the recent Moncler Lunettes launch blends high-performance innovation with timeless legacy.
If, like us, Après-Ski fashion is all that has been on your mind lately, then Moncler’s new Lunettes collection is just for you. This marks the brand’s first collection created in collaboration with eyewear titan EssilorLuxottica, known to work alongside luxury powerhouses like Chanel, Prada, and Armani, among others. Moncler embarked on a new journey that blends its need for technical excellence with unique mountain-inspired style—all while keeping the brand’s rich 70-year legacy at heart.
Featuring both sun and optical designs, the brand’s unquestionable commitment to craftsmanship finds a perfect ally in sleek metals and statement silhouettes. Incorporating athletic rubber accents, mirrored lenses, and wraparound shapes, Moncler’s eyewear collection is one to be worn from the slopes to the city (and everywhere in between). Stealing signature design details from Moncler’s beloved jackets—think puffy curves, featherweight materials, and exaggerated proportions—this high-performance collection comes in an Alpine-approved palette that ranges from shiny silver and anthracite hues to earthy matte shades.
Perfect to pair with chic ski suits and stylish winter jackets, these gender-neutral shapes fuse sporty energy with futuristic aesthetics. Re-thinking traditional silhouettes (like the timeless aviators) through a contemporary angle, these new designs reflect on the brand's pioneering spirit while paying homage to its storied heritage. Completed with laser-engraved logo detailing, these sleek shapes nail the Après-Ski look while serving equally as a confident eyewear option for the urban fashion-forward crowd.
The Italian-based brand chose the alpine resort of Crans Montana in Switzerland to unveil the dynamic Fall/Winter 2024 Moncler Lunettes collection to a select group of editors and house friends. Combining frosty edge with breathtaking alpine landscapes, the brand immersed its guests through a journey of thrilling snow activities and sophisticated winter experiences from a morning snowshoe trek to Swiss-style lunches. Festivities concluded at the Chetzeron—an exceptional boutique hotel nestled at an altitude of 6.9 feet above the sea level and facing the highest peaks in the Alps—with a dazzling closing party featuring traditional Swiss cuisine and musicalized by Graziano Della Nebbia (one of the most sought-after DJs in fashion shows and top clubs).
