Living in the Days of Prada for Spring/Summer 2024
Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons present a photographic series created by Ferdinando Verderi and Willy Vanderperre which recounts the men's and women's Spring/Summer 2024 collections.
Prada is known for creating campaigns that muse on the current affairs of fashion. This season, the reflective matrix of the Spring/Summer 2024 campaign entitled "Days of Prada" focuses on the singularity and collectivity of the imagery proposed by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons. Shot by Willy Vanderperre—Simons' faithful photographer—with creative direction by Ferdinando Verderi, the new campaign presents itself in a photographic series of raw portraits showing the metaphor of a broader and collective dialogue, just like the fashion itself.
Composed of 40 images, models, both new and old, are presented as equals with emphasis placed on the individual as a means to capture them in totality. But together, the create not only a mirror of the collection's runway show but also of fashion's ability to bring people together through a common sartorial thread.
A collection of faces that are taken from the cast of the show - with a total of 40 models - plus three internationally renowned actors: Harris Dickinson, star of Beach Rats, Triangle of Sadness, The Iron Claw, and A Murder at the End of the World; Kelvin Harrison Jr., known for his roles in Chevalier, Light and Waves, as well as the upcoming project Genius: MLK/X and the live action prequel to The Lion King; and singer Troye Sivan who recently released his latest album Something to Give Each Other and modeled in the most recent Miu Miu fashion show. In Prada's Spring/Summer 2024 men's campaign, the actors play the role of themselves, a truthful and unsweetened narrative. The sequence of shots becomes a tool to represent Prada's strong message: the collective, evolutionary and identity facet of the Milanese brand.
