At the 2025 Golden Globes, one color ruled them all on the red carpet. Following the trend of recent years where makeup and fashion trends take after food, let's call this one radish red.

A fiery shade dominated the night (along with some deeper, more moody burgundies), cementing its place as a symbol of power, passion, and elegance. The trend hasn’t come out of nowhere—various shades of red have been making waves on recent runways from burgundy at Gucci to similar oxblood colors at Bottega Veneta. It became the season’s unofficial fall and winter neutral. The rich and versatile hue has proven to be a designer favorite, pairing effortlessly with everything from soft pastels to bold jewel tones.

But a brighter scarlet is always a power move when it comes to clothes, offering celebrities the chance to be sartorially bold on red carpets anytime of the year, but particularly poignantly during awards season. On this year's Golden Globes red carpet, celebrities embraced the color's full spectrum: Burgundy gowns brought depth and sophistication, while vibrant radish-colored dresses and suits added a daring edge. This bold color choice felt both timeless and modern, embodying the glamour and confidence that the Golden Globes are known for.

As the first major event of the 2025 awards season, the ceremony’s red carpet offered a glimpse of what’s to come. If the Golden Globes are any indication, red will continue to reign supreme, adding drama and allure to Hollywood’s most glamorous nights. Keep scrolling for a look at celebrities who sported shades of red, from radish to otherwise.
