When it comes to taking a risk on the runway, Moschino is second to none. Since the very beginning, the Italian label has been renowned for its approach to bold, playful designs. From campy, over-the-top designs to striking colors, Moschino has made fashion history more than a few times.
This season, Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo have stepped up to the helm of Moschino as the label’s new creative directors. Following in the footsteps of design legends like founder Franco Moschino and Rossella Jardini, Jeremy Scott, and Adrian Appiolaza, the duo are ready to steer Moschino into the coming years.
As Moschino enters a new era, take a look back into the label’s archives and explore its most iconic runway moments of all time.

For its Spring/Summer 2015 collection, Scott unveiled an array of Barbie-themed designs, accompanied by voluminous blonde blowouts and glamorous beauty looks. While the collection as a whole remains firmly planted in fashion history, the show also included looks that saw models glide down the runway in roller skates, bringing the franchise’s playful history to life.

In Milan, Scott presented yet another statement-making collection for Moschino. During the label’s Fall/Winter 2020 show, guests watched as Joan Smalls strutted down the runway in a sculptural dress, delicately designed to resemble an opulent tiered cake. The look was accompanied by a pair of towering pink platform heels and floral drop earrings, echoing the dress’s icing-inspired detailing.

At Milan Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2010 season, Jardini sent a collection defined by bold prints, vibrant colors, and classic Moschino codes down the runway. Out of all the looks, a mini shift dress, complete with printed ruffles and an embroidered collar, remains one of the collection’s most iconic looks. Whimsical patterns and a playful sense of femininity lead the look, accompanied by shimmery gold accessories.
