Supermodel Devon Aoki's Most Iconic '00s Style Moments

Considered one of the most iconic Y2K models, Devon Aoki is a 41-year-old model and retired actress. Her modeling journey began after being discovered at a rock concert when she was only 13 years old, followed by earning a spot at the 1998 Chanel show that officially launched her career. Aoki continued to contribute immensely to fashion ever since.

Aoki's fashion career reads like a who's who of iconic high-end designers, including Celine, Versace, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, and Valentino—not to mention her campaign appearances for brands like L'Oréal and Louis Vuitton.

In 2003, Aoki made her debut in the film industry with her role as Suki in 2 Fast 2 Furious, which received a BMI Film Music Award and two Teen Choice Awards. She's also been in other films, including DOA: Dead or Alive, Sin City, and Mutant Chronicles.

Twenty years later, Aoki made her first Met Gala appearance with Italian fashion house Moschino's creative director at the time Jeremy Scott, wearing a black and white mermaid gown. Also known as one of Karl Lagerfeld's muses, Aoki shared a memory of the late designer at the Lagerfeld-themed event, expressing that he taught her "being barefoot is chic."
