Considered one of the most iconic Y2K models, Devon Aoki is a 41-year-old model and retired actress. Her modeling journey began after being discovered at a rock concert when she was only 13 years old, followed by earning a spot at the 1998 <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/chanel-fall-winter-2024-pfw-show-runway-images" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chanel</a> show that officially launched her career. Aoki continued to contribute immensely to fashion ever since.

In 2003, Aoki made her debut in the film industry with her role as Suki in&nbsp;2 Fast 2 Furious,&nbsp;which received a BMI Film Music Award and two Teen Choice Awards. She's also been in other films, including DOA: Dead or Alive, Sin City, and Mutant Chronicles. 
Twenty years later, Aoki made her first <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/met-gala-2024-guest-list" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Met Gala</a> appearance with Italian fashion house <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/moschino-adrian-appiolaza-new-creative-director" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Moschino's</a> creative director at the time <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/jeremy-scott-moschino-fashion-moments-runway-celebrity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jeremy Scott</a>, wearing a black and white mermaid gown. Also known as one of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/karl-lagerfeld-chanel-haute-couture-auction-mouna-ayoub" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Karl Lagerfeld's</a> muses, Aoki shared a memory of the late designer at the Lagerfeld-themed event, expressing that he taught her "being barefoot is chic."&nbsp;
Though Aoki is know for her Noughties style&mdash;think, low-slung Y2k jeans, butterfly motifs, baby tees&mdash;she is in the midst of a fashion renaissance as a new generation discovers the iconic Devon Aoki fashion photos of years past, thanks in part to Tumblr and Instagram. Aoki was recently part of the collaboration between Japanese artist <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/louis-vuitton-yayoi-kusama-collaboration-drop-2-fashion-art" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yayoi Kusama</a> and Louis Vuitton, and sharing: "My family and I are all big fans of Yayoi Kusama and being asked to be a part of this collaboration is really special."&nbsp;
