Cloud Dancer, a dreamy neutral white tone, is officially the It color of 2026.&nbsp;

Though vibrant hues have dominated <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/color-trends-spring-summer-2026-runways" target="_blank" rel="noopener">runways</a> and street style alike, Pantone, the leading authority on color, has spoken: neutrals are in for 2026.&nbsp;
Per Pantone, Cloud Dancer is a lofty, harmonious shade of white that offers balance, serenity, and versatility across all modes of design, including fashion and interiors.&nbsp;
Cloud Dancer represents &ldquo;calming influence in a frenetic society, rediscovering the value of measured consideration and quiet reflection,&rdquo; Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone Color Institute, told <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/04/style/pantone-color-of-the-year-2026-intl-scli" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN</a>.
Selecting a color of the year isn't an easy task&mdash;after all, with Pantone's extensive collection of thousands of intricately balanced shades, there's plenty of hues to choose from. In picking a color to represent the current moment of the zeitgeist, the institute considers trends and movements within culture, politics, and fashion.&nbsp;
"Pantone 11-4201 Cloud Dancer embodies a shift in how we live and design," said Laurie Pressman, vice president of the institute, in a statement. "An airy white hue, Cloud Dancer exemplifies our search for balance between our digital future and our primal need for human connection."&nbsp;
In fashion alone, recent style moment standouts have included plenty of voluminous silhouettes, dreamy designs, and natural fabrics&mdash;think billowy linen and floaty feathers.&nbsp;
Past colors of the year have included <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/pantone-mocha-mousse-color-of-the-year-2025-color-trends" target="_blank" rel="noopener">mocha brown</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/peach-outfits-pantone-2024-color-of-the-year" target="_blank" rel="noopener">peach fuzz</a>, and reddish magenta.&nbsp;
