Are the 2023 Emmy Awards still happening?

With Hollywood on shutdown due to the double <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/sag-aftra-strike-movies-tv-shows-delayed-actors-writers-union" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WGA and SAG strikes</a>, one of the biggest questions asked is where this leaves the 2023 Emmy Awards. From we what we know, the award show is still happening, though it's reportedly being pushed back from its original September date.

Originally, it was announced that the 2023 Emmys would take place on September 18, however, that is now changing. <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/features/hollywood-chaos-strikes-movie-delays-pay-battles-a-i-anxiety-1235673080/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">According to Variety</a>, "Discussions are taking place about postponing the Emmys so the acting nominees can attend. The show may instead take place in November or even January if an agreement takes longer to reach."
On July 28, Variety reported that vendors for the 2023 Emmys have been "told that the ceremony will not air on September 18" and that their "services will need to be pushed." While it's confirmed the 2023 Emmys is not happening in September, there is no word on what the new date will be.

There is no word on this year's presenters or host.

The 2023 Emmy Awards will take place in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. EST. The show will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock.

There is no confirmation on the status of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/actors-strike-sag-aftra-union-hollywood-red-carpet-cancelled" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the red carpet</a>. It is assumed to believe that if negotiations are made, the red carpet will presume.&nbsp;
