Are These 'Bridgerton' Co-Stars Dating?
Netflix's hit series Bridgerton has been at the top of everyone's queue since it's debut on Christmas Day. The Shondaland show captured viewers with its Gossip Girl-esque narrator, meddlesome characters, and passionate love affairs. Enter: leads Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page as Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings. Audiences watch their love story play out from loathing each other to declaring their love (the "I burn for you" scene? *swoon*) to a marriage stalemate to being madly in love all over again. The rollercoaster tale is filled with drama, intrigue, and lots of sex, which has viewers wondering if it was really all just for the cameras.
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, when questioned about their off-screen relationship, Page said, "I think that everything you need to know is on camera. All the sparks that flew came off the beautiful scripts we were handed."
When speaking with The Guardian, Dynevor mirrored the sentiments, saying the two were "very good mates." Currently, the co-stars are oceans apart, as Page lives in Los Angeles, while Dynevor is currently in England.
While they may not be a couple in real life, viewers will likely see the pair reunite as Daphne and the Duke in a second season. While Netflix has yet to renew the series, showrunner Chris Van Dusen told Collider he would like to do eight seasons, to properly follow the Julia Quinn's Bridgerton novel series on which the show is based. "This being a family of eight children and there being eight books, I would love to be able to focus and really tell stories and love stories for all the Bridgerton siblings. For each character, for sure."
