Before rising to stardom, some of these familiar faces had their humble beginnings on reality TV.

The Hadid Sisters

Thanks to their mother, Yolanda, being on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, both Bella and Gigi Hadid became regulars on the show. The series gave insight into the girls’ early stages of their soon-to-be successful modeling careers.

Cardi B

Just two years before Cardi B made her debut with “Bodak Yellow,” the rap sensation starred in seasons six and seven of Love & Hip Hop New York back in 2015. The show followed the lives of aspiring female rappers trying to break into the male-dominated field of hip hop.

Beyoncé

Beyoncé and the group Girls Tyme, who would later become Destiny’s Child, entered the TV singing competition Star Search in hopes of securing a record deal. Popular in the early ‘90s, the show served as a launching pad for the likes of Aaliyah and Dave Chappelle.

Kesha

Back in 2005, Kesha made a brief appearance in an episode of The Simple Life with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, where the three tried to set Kesha’s mom up on a date.

Emma Stone

Before taking on lead roles for La La Land and Cruella, actress Emma Stone made her television debut in the singing competition In Search of the Partridge Family at the age of 16. The star impressively won the role of Laurie Partridge, but the show ended up never airing.

Britney Spears

Ten-year-old Britney Spears also took a shot as a competitor in Star Search. Even though she lost, the pop sensation soon joined the cast of The Mickey Mouse Club and released her first album in 1999.

Chris Hemsworth

Surprisingly, Thor star Chris Hemsworth was a contestant in Australia's version of Dancing with the Stars back in 2006. The actor eventually finished in fifth place.
