Although Gatwa is young, the actor has already taken on supporting roles in <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/fashion/margot-robbie-barbie-looks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Barbie</a>, Masters of the Air, and most notably, Netflix's smash-hit, Sex Education.&nbsp;Gatwa has quickly become renowned for his charm both on and off the screen, and went viral earlier in 2024 after he attended the Oscars in a clean-cut, expertly tailored <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/fashion/audrey-hepburn-givenchy-little-black-dress-history" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Givenchy</a> suit and subsequently attended after parties in a show-stopping metallic, armor-like breastplate.
Aside from his impeccable taste in <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/fashion/mother-daughter-model-duos-twinning-kaia-gerber-cindy-crawford" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fashion</a> and quick-witted sense of humor, Gatwa has also been championed by long-time fans for his historic part in the series. Gatwa's role marks the first <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/fashion/donyale-luna-first-black-supermodel-documentary-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Black</a> queer lead in Doctor Who, which is a major move, especially in upholding the diversity and visibility that the series' creators advocate for.&nbsp;
Alongside Gatwa, 19-year-old Millie Gibson has joined the cast of&nbsp;Doctor Who Season 14 after the show's chief screenwriter, Russell T. Davies, caught her appearance in the <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/celebrities-with-british-royal-titles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">British</a> soap opera Coronation Street. Gibson enters the cast as Ruby Sunday, companion to The Doctor.
