Exciting news for&nbsp;Dune&nbsp;fans: <a href="https://www.warnerbros.com/news/press-releases/production-under-way-on-dune-part-two" target="_blank" rel="noopener">production</a> has officially wrapped up for the second installment,&nbsp;Dune: Part Two.&nbsp;Returned to the helm were director Denis Villeneuve and lead actor Timoth&eacute;e Chalament, amongst others.&nbsp;While the second installment was <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/timothee-chalamet-confirms-dune-part-two-instagram-zendaya-movie" target="_blank" rel="noopener">confirmed</a> all the way back in October 2021, fans have been patiently waiting to learn more. Dune: Part Two is jam-packed with A-list actors and actresses. Of course, <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/13031586/timothee-chalamet-confirms-dune-part-two-instagram-zendaya-movie" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chalamet</a>, who played lead <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">Paul Atreides in the Oscar-nominated film will be reprising his role in the second installment. And good news for <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/zendaya-why-she-wont-return-to-music-singing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Zendaya</a> fans: while Zendaya had a minor role in the first movie, her role is set to be much larger this time around.&nbsp;Villeneuve told <a href="https://variety.com/2022/film/awards/denis-villeneuve-dune-2-oscars-zendaya-podcast-1235209172/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Variety,</a> "For <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/zendaya-tom-holland-dating-adopting-dog-together-pitbull-pistachiohttps://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/zendaya-tom-holland-dating-adopting-dog-together-pitbull-pistachio" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Zendaya</a>, I will say Part One was a promise. I know that we saw a glimpse of her in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/zendaya-timothee-chalamet-dune-red-carpet-premiere" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Part One</a>, but in Part Two, she&rsquo;ll have a prominent part. We will follow Timoth&eacute;e [Chalamet] and Zendaya on their adventures in the desert."
Other notable additions to the <a href="https://www.warnerbros.com/news/press-releases/production-under-way-on-dune-part-two" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cast</a>? <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/florence-pugh-body-shamers-backlash-valentino-sheer-dress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Florence Pugh</a> is set to join the cast&mdash;after months of <a href="https://variety.com/2022/film/awards/denis-villeneuve-dune-2-oscars-zendaya-podcast-1235209172/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rumors circulating</a>&mdash;alongside <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/austin-butler-cartier-new-ambassador-cannes-film-festival-elvis" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Austin Butler,</a> who starred as Elvis Presley in the 2022 Baz Luhrmann film <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/first-look-austin-butler-elvis-presley-baz-luhrmann-biopic" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Elvis</a>, as well as No Time to Die star <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/lea-seydoux-bond-no-time-to-die-the-french-dispatch-wes-anderson" target="_blank" rel="noopener">L&eacute;a Seydoux</a>, Swiss actress <a href="https://deadline.com/2022/07/dune-part-two-souheila-yacoub-1235064119/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Souheila Yacoub</a>, and actor Christopher Walken.
In a red-carpet <a href="https://variety.com/2022/film/news/austin-butler-dune-2-part-two-1235437947/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview with Variety</a>, Butler spoke about his excitement about being a part of the film. &ldquo;I loved the first film so much,&rdquo; Butler said. &ldquo;It was this cinematic masterpiece, so the idea of getting to be a part of that world is just incredibly exciting and Denis is one of my favorite filmmakers and just an amazing human being. He&rsquo;s so kind and I&rsquo;m a fan of every one of those actors in the film, so I felt really honored.&rdquo;
In a recent <a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2023/02/florence-pugh-hollywood-issue-2023" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview with Vanity Fair</a>, Pugh also expressed her excitement and how she loved working with the cast. "To do&nbsp;Dune with those specific actors at the front, like&nbsp;Timmy [Chalamet] and&nbsp;Zendaya and Austin [Butler]&mdash;they are remarkable people, number one, and unbelievable actors, number two," she said. "They&rsquo;re stars in their own ways, not in the clich&eacute; way of using the word. They&rsquo;re just&mdash;they&rsquo;re sparkly people. I&rsquo;m now lucky enough to call them all my friends, which is super exciting."

Leading up the release date, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment gave fans a quick <a href="https://www.warnerbros.com/news/press-releases/production-under-way-on-dune-part-two" target="_blank" rel="noopener">overview</a> of the plot:&nbsp;"This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee."&nbsp;

In May 2023, Warner Bros. Pictures released an official trailer. The video opens with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/timothee-chalamet-kylie-jenner-dating-relationship-timeline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chalamet</a> as Paul, who describes to Chani, played by Zendaya, what it might look like if the sand dunes were actually <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/wellness/how-to-use-rice-water-hair-care" target="_blank" rel="noopener">water</a>. Next, we learn from Princess Irulan, played by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/florence-pugh-met-gala-2023-arrival-shaved-head" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pugh</a>, that Arrakis has many secrets. &ldquo;What if Paul Atreides were still alive?,&rdquo; she says as clips of new and familiar characters begin to roll. All in all, the trailer is as action-packed as we could have hoped for, opening the door to an exciting new chapter for the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/coco-chanel-hidden-wertheimer-family-fashion-legacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">empire</a>.

On June 29, fans were greeted with an extended new trailer that shows not only more of Pugh and Butler's characters, but also includes a heartwarming scene of Paul declaring his love for Chani. Consider our tickets purchased.

The burning question? When is Dune: Part Two slated to come out? The film was originally set to come out next <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/13031586/timothee-chalamet-confirms-dune-part-two-instagram-zendaya-movie" target="_blank" rel="noopener">October</a>&nbsp;but was pushed back about a month. Fans can now plan to see the film on <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15239678/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">November 17, 2023</a>, right before the Thanksgiving holiday.&nbsp;

Not much is known about the exact filming locations, but the film was reportedly filmed in <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15239678/locations?ref_=tt_dt_loc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Budapest and Italy</a>. In July, there was a photo floating around <a href="https://twitter.com/hollywoodhandle/status/1548989187021479936?s=10&amp;t=lEBYctWt9T6nyc-0OhoL1A" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Twitter</a> of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/sheer-haute-couture-runway-looks-florence-pugh-dress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pugh</a>&nbsp;in costume.&nbsp;
In December 2022, Chalamet recently posted on Instagram that filming is done with the caption, "Dune 2 wrapped (with desert dad!!)."
