Giorgio Armani Celebrates Michelle Yeoh Ahead of 2023 Academy Awards
The Everything Everywhere All at Once star is nominated for Best Actress.
It's the evening before the 2023 Academy Awards and Hollywood is abuzz with anticipation for who will take home this year's biggest awards in film in television. In Beverly Hills, it's not shoppers taking over Rodeo Drive, but rather some of today's hottest stars as they arrive at the Giorgio Armani store for a pre-Oscars party, hosted by Roberta Armani, to celebrate actress Michelle Yeoh.
Yeoh is nominated for Best Actress for her role in the critically acclaimed film Everything Everywhere All at Once, the most-nominated film of this year's ceremony and the most-awarded film of all time with 336 awards and 691 nominations. The film, in which Yeoh plays a Chinese American immigrant who travels through the multiverse to save the world, also stars Ke Huy Quan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Stephanie Hsu, Jenny Slate, and Harry Shum Jr., all of whom were in attendance to honor Yeoh.
In addition to Yeoh's co-stars, the party's guest list included Tessa Thompson, Samuel L. Jackson, Allison Williams, Noah Centineo, Thuso Mbedu, Lexi Underwood, Karolina Kurkova, Chloe East, Stella Maxwell, Danny Ramirez, Mackenzie Foy, Lewis Tan, Sara Sampaio, Mason Gooding, Phil Dunster, Michael Evan Behling, Josh Dallas, Shamier Anderson, Alexander Dreymon, Tarzan Davis, Larsen Thompson, Rona-Lee Shimon, Felix Mallard, Halima Aden, Ross Butler, Jon Kortajarena, Mohammed al Turki, Jessie Andrews, Hank Korsan, Joseph Mazzello, and Josh Beauchamp, all clad in their best Giorgio Armani ensembles. Brendan Fraser, who is up for Best Actor for his role in The Whale, also appeared at the event to support his fellow nominee.
While no one can say for certain whether the Crazy Rich Asians actress will be taking home tonight's Oscars statuette, her record this awards season speaks for itself. Not does Yeoh's Oscar nomination make her the first woman to identify as Asian to be nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards, but she has already won 19 individual awards for her performance in the film including the SAG Award and the Golden Globe.
Everything Everywhere All at Once stars Hsu, Curtis, and Quan are also nominated this year for their supporting roles, while the film itself is up for Best Original Score, Best Song, Best Film Editing, Best Costume Design, Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Picture.
