Halle Berry is Unrecognizable in New Film

Halle Berry is ready to return to the big screen with a new project. The 55-year-old star has already won an Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in The Last Supper and became the first black woman to take the stage to receive the coveted golden statuette. Now, Berry is undergoing a radical transformation to play Jackie Justice, a martial arts fighter who, after the death of her father, is trying to regain custody of her only child and her formerly successful career.

In Netflix's Bruised, the actress puts aside all the glamor of the red carpet to step into the fighting ring without makeup, wearing only old clothes and with several bruises due to successive competitions. Berry puts to use her extensive boxing training, an activity she regularly uses to keep in shape. 

The film is slated to hit the streaming service on November 24 with a global release. In addition to Berry, who is also directing the film, the cast also features other stars such as Adam Canto, Adriane Lenox, Sheila Atim, Valentina Shevchenko, and Stephen McKinley Henderson.
