The long-awaited return of L&eacute;os Carax comes nine years later in a language that is not his, and with a partner that we didn't know we needed so much.

Annette is more than a musical narrating a love story&mdash;it's the return of director L&eacute;os Carax to the big screen since his 2012 film Holy Motors. It's also his first production in English, a debut for which he chose an unbeatable pair, both in chemistry and talent, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/lady-gaga-adam-driver-house-of-gucci-movie-instagram" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Adam Driver</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/marion-cotillard-rare-facts-chanel-la-vie-en-rose" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Marion Cotillard</a>.
In the recently released trailer, which was met with great excitement around the world, viewers can enjoy a glimpse of the electrifying romance between the fictional characters played by both stars&mdash;it is truly incredible.
Another great success from the film is the soundtrack from the band Sparks, which has among its members the two writers of the film's script, Ron Mael and Russell Mael.

The film tells the story of a stand-up comic (Driver) and a singer of international reputation (<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/chanel-no5-marion-cotillard-movies-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cotillard</a>), as well as the arrival in the world of their first-born daughter Annette and everything that happens as a result. Annette is not an ordinary girl&mdash;she has a gift that will envelop the three of them in a nebula of mystery.
Annette will open the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/ten-historic-moments-cannes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cannes Film Festival</a> in July (the first since the beginning of the pandemic). At the end of May, more details will emerge about the official selection of the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/cannes-film-festival-best-red-carpet-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">event</a>, which will have a jury chaired by the American director Spike Lee.
We can anticipate, even without having seen it, that the glamorous story of the comedian and his beloved soprano comes to life thanks to the mastery of an unequaled lens, the vision of a very peculiar director, the imagination of accomplished composers, and the incredible performances of a cast that will undoubtedly move the audience.
