Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's docuseries Harry &amp; Meghan is officially award nominated.

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/meghan-markle-prince-harry-relationship-timeline-dating-royal-wedding-kids" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Prince Harry and Meghan Markle</a>'s jaw-dropping docuseries <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/meghan-markle-prince-harry-netflix-docuseries-release-date-trailer-details" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Harry &amp; Meghan</a> was one of Netflix's most successful shows, and now, it has been nominated for a Hollywood award.
The couple released their docuseries in a $100 million partnership with Netflix, and was the streaming service's second-highest-ranked documentary ever, catapulting to the #1 most-watched spot on the day of the release. Following its immense success, Harry &amp; Meghan has been nominated for a Hollywood Critics Award in the Best Streaming Nonfiction category.
Other nominees in the category include Prehistoric Planet 2, Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss, Rennervations, The 1619 Project, and The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy.

The bombshell docuseries made waves as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave an honest recount of everything that has happened to them since the start of their relationship. Through a slew of private photos and videos Prince Harry and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/meghan-markle-dior-deal-denied-rumor-prince-harry" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Markle</a> handed the production company and a sit-down interview, it quickly became a bit of an expos&eacute; about the royal family and the British media.
One of the biggest stressed points <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/young-prince-harry-real-father-last-name" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Prince Harry</a> made clear in the show was that it was his decision to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop%20culture/prince-harry-meghan-markle-stepping-down-royal-duties" target="_blank" rel="noopener">step down from their royal duties</a>, following the targeted criticism the British media hurled (and arguably continues to hurl) at his wife, with no backup or protection from the royal family. The exponential hounding of the British paparazzi has continued towards the couple &mdash; even after they <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/prince-harry-meghan-markle-montecito-mansion-on-sale-33-million" target="_blank" rel="noopener">relocated to California</a>.
The news of Prince Harry and Markle's award nomination comes shortly after the couple has been making headlines for their <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/meghan-markle-prince-harry-spotify-deal-collapse-drama-details-explained-archetypes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Spotify deal drama</a>, in which Markle's $20 million podcast partnership with Spotify was dropped, allegedly due to the lack of new episodes over a period a time. (For reference, within a year, only 12 episodes were created.)

The collapse of the Spotify deal left many wondering if it would affect the Sussexes' ongoing collaboration with Netflix, but as of right now, the streaming service is still working with the couple &mdash; especially now that Harry &amp; Meghan is award nominated. From what we know, the couple's next film for Netflix is a solo project by Prince Harry about Africa. Details of the film are yet to be revealed, but it's presumed to believe that it will follow Prince Harry's expeditions in Africa, which is fitting considering he spent back-to-back long periods of time every year in Africa (as revealed in Harry &amp; Meghan), and his mother <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/princess-diana-black-sheep-sweater-sothebys-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Princess Diana</a> also traveled to Africa for humanitarian work.
