A quick glimpse of Queen Elizabeth II may reveal her taste for traditional elements and classical culture. But according to royal biographer Gyles Brandreth, her preferences are not limited to erudite works. The pro, who wrote Philip and Elizabeth: Portrait of a Royal Marriage, spent time with the 95-year-old monarch and found that, in fact, she is a big fan of the 007 franchise.

According to an interview with Express Newspaper, Gyles says that, "the fun of spending time with her [the queen] was discovering unexpected things about her...She really loved all the early James Bond movies." Apparently, she's still a fan of the franchise, although she prefers the early movies, "before they got so noisy."

The news of Queen Elizabeth’s 007 love affair came out shortly after her grandson, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, attended the premiere of 007: No Time to Die in late September. The pair stole the spotlight at the event, especially the duchess, who wore Jenny Packham's Golden Veil Cloak Dress.

Gyles further revealed that the Queen has a knack for imitating English comedian George Formby (1904-1961). She enjoys imitating the artist who performs the classic 1930s hit, "When I'm Cleaning Windows."
