Although he's now one of the most visible rockstars on the planet, at one point Sir Elton John had been equally successful at keeping his private life under wraps, which is why there's even more reason to anticipate ROCKETMAN, an uncensored, musical film that chronicles the icon's early years, directed by Dexter Fletcher. The film stars Taron Egerton (who also executive produces the film), Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Given John's timeless discography, the soundtrack is sure to be great, and from what we can see in the trailer, many of the costumes appear to be historically accurate (like the famous glitter baseball outfit from his 1975 Dodger Stadium show and, of course, big, bold eyewear). The film won't arrive in theaters until 2019, but until then you can tide yourself over with the trippy teaser trailer above.
