The actress spoke candidly with late-night host James Corden about the messiest scene in the movie.

While <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/lady-gaga-jared-leto-salma-hayek-house-of-gucci-red-carpet-premiere-fashion-style" target="_blank" rel="noopener">House of Gucci</a> may be the year's most stylish film, according to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/salma-hayek-best-red-carpet-style-moments-young" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Salma Hayek</a>, some scenes were not so chic.&nbsp;
In an appearance on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBo2sDkQbBg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Late Late Show with James Corden</a>, the actress opened up about shooting a scene in a mud bath which she referred to as "horrific" and "the most dramatic scene [she's] ever done." Hayek explained, "Once you're in, you're naked &ndash; well not completely, we had something underneath but nothing on top &ndash; and the thing is that, in my head, I was going to sink."

In the scene, which fans get a sneak peek at in the trailer, Hayek, who plays Giuseppina Auriemma, chats with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/lady-gaga-extreme-acting-method-house-of-gucci-patrizia-reggiani" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lady Gaga</a>'s <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/lady-gaga-reveals-she-felt-how-patrizia-reggiani-felt-house-of-gucci-method-acting" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Patrizia Reggiani</a>. The Eternals star described her character as a "sidekick" to Reggiani, saying that all of her scenes were shared by the "Born This Way" singer, but that the mud bath scene was a particularly bonding experience for the two stars.

Salma Hayek's Had an Unfortunate First Mud Bath Experience

The Frida actress told Corden that while her co-star gracefully descended into the tub, the weight she gained specifically for this role caused the mud to creep into all the wrong places. <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">"Me, with my extra kilos, I sit on the mud and I'm not sinking. And I'm trying to pull the mud [away from] my huge butt to make some weight [shift]," explained Hayek.
